Tomorrow marks the second day of our read-a-thon. We are tracking the number of minutes read in class and I hope you are doing the same at home. Today, our theme was "Top of the day with a good book". Everyone enjoyed wearing their favorite hat to school.

Don't forget to wear red from toe to head tomorrow!

We will be wearing red in celebration of RED ZONE (Read Every Day). RED ZONE is from 8:15-8:30. At this time, everyone in our school is reading.

Daily themes for the rest of the week are...

Wednesday - Harvest a good book. Dress like a farmer.

Thursday - Tuck yourself in with a good book. Wear your pajamas to school. We will host a "Family Literacy Night" from 6:00-7:30. 

Friday - "U" are a golden reader. Wear purple and gold.

**All read-a-thon money should be returned to school by Friday, October 5.

We had a great time at the homecoming pep rally. The students had the opportunity to meet Unioto's fall student athletes, listen to the band, and watch the cheerleaders perform. It was a perfect way to end a great week of school! I hope you all have a great weekend.
