Do you have a writer's eye? This is what we ask ourselves every time we begin writing in our journals. Here are the four things that each writer needs to do in order to have a good pair of "writer's eyes"...
1. I see a capital letter at the beginning of my sentence.
2. I see finger spaces between each word.
3. I see lowercase letters throughout my sentence.
4. I see punctuation at the end of my sentence.
Students who use all four criteria are able to wear a pair of "writer's eyes". The kids love wearing the glasses as they are writing. They really enjoy walking around, helping their fellow classmates with their writing too! Encourage your child to use their "writer's eyes" when writing at home :)
